Pocono Bed and Breakfast Hauntings

A Bed and Breakfast located in the Pocono Mountains

Pocono Bed and Breakfast Hauntings are ongoing at Cranberry Manor Bed and Breakfast.  Most of the guests don’t even know that they are there and then there are the unexplained moments that the guests experience.

So before reading on you will want to bookmark this page should you decide to leave this page as you will not find your back through the menu navigations of the main website for obvious reasons.

Since the original posting on https://www.hauntedplaces.org/item/cranberry-manor-bed-and-breakfast/ the innkeeper was contacted end of 2018 by the Paranormal Spirit Finders to come out and investigate the Bed and Breakfast.

The initial pre-investigation was a very active one.  The Paranormal Team has been back several times, each time with new experiences, and also with new questions to ask the spirits that reside at Cranberry Manor Bed and Breakfast.

Update – Ghost Girl

So upon reviewing old files when trying to catch ghost kitty on video it turns out the ghost girl was also caught on camera.   She never wants to come out of the bathroom of the Victorian room.  She loves her kitty(s) to play with.   She is in the background in the bathroom in the right corner crouched outside of the tub between the window and the tub on the floor.  You can see her thin white arm that reaches towards the tub edge and her face is turned towards the camers.  She is in what we believe is her green dress.  This is the spot where she likes to play with the flash light with Jim, one of the paranormal paranormal spirit finders investigators.

Ghost Kitty Meow

During the Paranormal Spirit Finders first visit we determined and confirmed that a ghost kitty was in the Victorian room.  During the investigation we could all feel something cold along the floor.  The innkeeper kept feeling something cold rub up against her legs.  During the investigation in the room we also heard 2 meows that were recorded.

The innkeeper was determined to catch the ghost kitty on video and did the very next night.  Ghost kitty was moving along the floor of the Victorian room rubbing up on the leg of the dresser.  It finally laid down under the dresser where the screen shot below was taken.  You can see the face of the small kitty laying down under the dresser on the right.

Ghost Kitty Under the Dresser

Not in my House…..

The photo and recording were viewed by some of the living family members of the owners of the 1950s.  Family members indicated that Elsie Besecker one of the proprietors from the 1950’s hated cats.  She would not allow them in her house and still doesn’t to this day.

Ghost Kitty can be heard running around the dining room and up and down the stairs and hallways.  Guests have experienced the cat jumping up on the bed and down onto the floor.

Elsie doesn’t like cats which will explain the next recording which is a Class “A” recording that the Paranormal Spirit Finder recorded during another one of their visits.  Ed Massey, the psychic of the team, is speaking with the ghost girl.  She is somewhat upset that she is not allowed to have her cat.

What is the Name of Your Cat?

The recording posted here is a conversation between Jim of the Paranormal Spirit Finders team and what sounds like a different ghost.  He is asking the ghost what the name of her cat is.  The ghost replies with what sounds like “Missy”.

There is another recording of a cat purring into a recorder that was left in the dining room.  Once it is located it will get posted up here.

The Spirit of Paul

Another spirit seems to be bound at the BNB to possibly one of the beds that the previous owners had purchased to furnish the BNB.  The psychic can see blood on the wall from the scene that the spirit is experiencing in the bed.  We believe the spirit is “Paul”.  The spirit has made mention of a contract killing, stabbed, shot, and stuck.

During the May special event while speaking with the ghost believed to be “Paul”, it seems he is afraid to speak at times about what happened.  When more details were being provided such as the first letter “V” of the killer or killers suddenly the guest attendees in the group, the team, and the innkeeper, heard foot steps clearly above the room the spirit resides in.  The room the spirit resides in is on the 3rd floor.  There is no 4th floor.   It almost seems like his bed and possibly his house layout of where he was killed is also here on the third floor and somehow onto the roof above that room.

The mystery hasn’t been solved yet but is sounds like the spirit was involved in a setup and contract killing where he was stabbed and shot by one or 2 contract killers.  The previous owners purchased many of the B&B furnishings at auctions.  At this time it is not known where the bed came from and its history.

Busy Spirits at the B&B

Guests staying at the BNB have clearly heard foot steps above them at night or in the hallways.  They have also reported hearing footsteps above their rooms.  There was either no one in the room above them or they were in a room with no rooms above their room.   The innkeeper, guests and family members continually hear footsteps in the hallways, stairs and upper floors.

Guests sometimes awake to the smell of coffee, toast and bacon cooking at 5:00 or 5:30 AM.  Its not the current innkeeper cooking at that hour.   The spirits keep busy apparently.

There are many other spirits and many more conversations.  Some are somewhat personnel pertaining to family members of the proprietors from the 1950’s and are not posted here as the innkeeper feels that some things are more private.
